DIY’s

Let me paint you a picture. You go on YouTube and you’re hit with a like a hundred different videos saying things like ” 15 Fun Crafts you can do at home.” , or “Easy DIY’s you can make with stuff you find around your house.”. Then your like ” OK let’s see what this is.”. So you click on the video and instead of things you find around your house you see things that make you wonder ” Why on earth someone ever need something like a candy thermometer or an eraser pen. Like seriously. And even if you do have the items the amount of time it takes is ridiculous. Half the time the DIY’S involve taking a perfectly good T-shirt or blanket and cutting it up to make it half the size it was before. Like boiii. Honestly the amount of reality actually in those videos is about -5. In my opinion it is more fun to watch the videos than actually doing them yourself. What is even more fun is having other youtubers test out the crafts so you can see the results without having to do any work. Is this just me ?

Middle school

Like many at home today I am in my room thinking about starting middle school. I can’t necessarily say I’m worried because I’m more excited really. The thing is books and movies make middle school seem like a prison. You know bad cafeteria food and cranky gym teacher. But honestly from the people I talked to that go to my middle school doesn’t, it seem that bad. I’m excited to be moving from elementary to middle. I have friends from my soccer that I’ve haven’t seen since the season ended and I am excited to see them again. I am a bit sad about leaving all my teachers from elementary behind but at least I will have most of my friends. However the thing I am most excited about is the freedom you get in middle school. No more staying in line and not talking in the hall. I am also eager to be in a different school than my brother. I know that sounds mean but in my brother’s class I was known as ” The Sister “. Every time I passed my brother’s class in the hallways my brother’s classmates would be like ” Look at your sister ! “. Honestly it was so annoying. Is this just me ?

Little Brothers

For my first actual post I decided on something I think a lot of people can relate to. Little brothers .Little brothers can be very, very annoying. I speak from experience. My brother always tries to bang down my door because I have to lock him out while I try to work. I know it sounds mean, but if he is in my room he’s always making noise and singing nonsense songs. It is super irritating. And the problem is there doesn’t seem to be a way to keep him out without making myself look like a mean sister. I know that I can always just ignore him but anybody who has a little brother will tell you how hard that is. You can’t just ignore somebody messing up your room or touching your stuff the same way you can’t ignore homework or bad grades. However I have observed a ingenious way to get even the most annoying little brothers away. Bribery. My little brother is in love with candy ( smarties are his favorite) so when my friends come over for a sleepover I always remind them to bring candy or whenever I get candy put some aside for when my brother is bugging me. However before I give him the candy I make him sign a contract saying he won’t come back into my room for so-so minutes, hours, or days. That way if he does want to come into my room after he finished with his candy I’ll have leverage on him ( in other words proof to show my parents). Is this just me?
